fifty children's books of 1996 by The Federation of Children's Book Groups
of Great Britain), Irish Hero Tales, Irish Animal
Tales, The Children of Lir, The Last of the Fianna and
The De Danann Tales (three volumes so far: Windlord,
Earthlord and Sealord).
His books have been translated into many languages, and have won him acclaim and
awards throughout the world. He has been called "the King of Irish Fantasy."
