Peter F. Hamilton

It would not be wrong to say that Peter F. Hamilton is one of the most exciting new SF writers to have emerged in the past few years... In fact, it could very well be a crime not to say that.

His first novel, Mindstar Rising, is a tour-de-force of compelling characters, delicious plot twists and amazing inventiveness: surely the sort of first novel all aspiring SF writers want to have written. The Reality Dysfunction, published in 1996, is even more powerful, breaking easily through the constraints of the "cyberpunk" label and quite probably destined to become known as one of the few classic SF novels of the 1990s.

This will be Mr. Hamilton's second appearance at an Octocon, and we are understandably excited to welcome him as our guest.
