In addition, he has co-authored several works: Two books based on the classic CD-ROM game Myst: The Book of Artus and The Book of Ti'Ana (with Robyn and Rand Miller), Apertures: A Study of the Writings of Brian Aldiss (with Brian Griffin), Trillion Year Spree: The History of Science Fiction, with Brian Aldiss, an updated reworking of Aldiss' Billion Year Spree. He has also written The Immortals of Science Fiction, a large-format illustrated book that presents the unofficial origins of many of SF's better-known characters.
His short stories include "At the Freed Slave" (published in A is for Brian, edited by Frank Hatherley, Margaret Aldiss & Malcolm Edwards) and "The Lord Yi Comes" (published in R.E.M issue 2).
