Dave Duncan

Dave Duncan was born in Scotland in 1933, and studied geology at the University of St. Andrews. He emigrated (or immigrated, depending on your point of view) to Canada in 1955.

He is the author of four extremely popular fantasy series:

  He has also written the stand-alone novels The Cursed (1995), The Reaver Road (1992), The Hunters' Haunt (1995), A Rose-Red City (1987), Shadow (1987), West of January (1989), Strings (1990) and Hero! (1991).

  Forthcoming works include Daughter of Troy (Avon, May 1998) - which will be published under the pseudonym Sarah B. Franklin - and The Gilded Chain (Avon, October 1998), the first in a new series called The King's Blades.
